Our network consists largely of experienced consultants in the focus areas above who come from large consulting firm backgrounds at the Manager, Senior Manager, Director and Partner levels.
Our resources also include former CPO's and supply chain VP's, leading independent consultants, as well as former Big 4 Consulting Partners and senior staff.
We have similar experiences and backgrounds and offer outstanding results-oriented cost reduction program management and organizational leadership.
Currently, Blonkvist Partners is on-track to have approximately 100 experienced consulting resources in our network by the middle of 2009. We expect to continue to rapidly grow this network for the next several years.
In addition, Blonkvist Partners collectively has hundreds of contacts in the procurement, supply chain and organizational leadership arenas. Many of these have complementary skill sets and relationships which are beneficial to our clients (China-based sourcing resources, Venture Capital related firms, other consulting firms, legal support, clients, alumni, etc).
Blonkvist Partners coordinates resources and seeks opportunities for independent consultants that are available. We share leads, intellectual capital, and experiences for the benefit of our clients. We pay our network resources based on the value add that they are bringing to a particular transaction - selling, staffing, and delivering assignments. Our incentives are completely aligned toward providing outstanding results for our clients.
Bradford Blonkvist is the founder of Blonkvist Partners. He has over thirteen years of experience with Deloitte Consulting and Archstone Consulting prior to founding Blonkvist Partners.
Mr. Blonkvist has nurtured a large footprint of relationships across the consulting industry.
Professionally, Brad typically advises CFO's and CPO's in enterprise cost reduction, procurement organization/process design and global supply chain execution. Mr. Blonkvist has worked across many industries including industrial manufacturers, CPG companies, and financial services.
Our network model provides Blonkvist Partners with the benefit of having a number of experienced consulting leaders in our group. Within our network, we have seasoned consulting veterans who have left traditional consulting firms in favor of selling and delivering work to clients independently. Blonkvist Partners provides the coordination and resources for these "old-hands" to effectively deliver outstanding programs for their clients.
With Partner bill rates in excess of $400/hour and newly minted MBA's billing at $200/hour, it would appear that traditional consulting firms are making a killing!!
In reality, they don't because their model is flawed by the "utilization paradigm."
Typically, up to 70% of their collective Partner hours and 30% of their non-Partner hours are not billable. This combined with their overhead and infrastructure requires traditional brick & mortar consulting firms to charge incredibly high rates.
