History
Apple International, a most reputable firm for supplying Bell 206 & 407 series helicopters, parts and components across the globe. The story began 45 years ago in 1975 when the Business Founder who had an Engineering background developed an interest in the Bell 407 (as seen in those days on the TV in Whirlybirds) and a comparative new Model the Bell 206 JetRanger, first made available in the late 60’s. This is a brief history of who we are, what we do, and how we add value.
Some of the early years were spent trying to develop a business in the purchase and sale of small fixed wing aircraft, together with what turned out to be a thriving international transportation Company. Richard Harper the Founder gained his Fixed wing PPL by 1980 but had always wanted to learn to fly helicopters, that came a few years later and Richard managed to successfully procure his first helicopter which he personally organised a complete refurbishment in conjunction with a well-known Company in the USA.
Following the importation of this first helicopter back at the UK Richard found a lot of businesses and individuals alike interested to discuss purchasing this brand-new looking helicopter. A sale was agreed and this began a sequence of importing fully refurbished Bell Helicopters into the UK for resale in Europe and beyond, nearly 200 to date.
In 2006, Apple International began its international expansion, building a Service Centre to Bristol, Tennessee. With a team of highly trained Helicopter Mechanics and Avionics Engineers at the controls, Apple found that apart from the demand for fully refurbished helicopters, Owners & Operators were always looking for quality parts at excellent value, Apple International became famous by being able to offer high quality part life or overhauled parts at a huge saving over the cost of new.
Apple has continued its growth in the global markets by opening supply routes into Asia, South America, Oceania and Africa. We at Apple have consistently bettered ourselves and are known to be able to supply parts/components/engines practically anywhere in the world for any part/component/accessory of any Bell 206 or 407 series helicopters. We also hold parts in Stock in the USA, Europe & Asia for many other makes and models of helicopters.
Today, Apple stands head and shoulders above our competitors and evidence our mantra ‘Quality to the Core’ every day that we trade. We believe in keeping our customers flying at a reasonable cost and minimising down time, our dedicated international teams do everything in their power to make this happen. This in turn ensures our customers don’t miss out on important flight time. We work, and where possible, meet with our clients to understand their needs and requirements, but also to consult them on current and future requirements that they may need.
