Stewart joined Dier Associates in 2016. He helps investment managers better communicate their competitive advantages and improve their success rate in manager searches. He maintains relationships with allocators, investment consultants, and OCIOs to help clients raise capital.
Stewart was Head of Public Markets at the New York City Retirement Systems where he developed and implemented investment policies and started the Emerging Manager Program, the ESG investments program, and laid the groundwork for Infrastructure investments. He had oversight of over $100 billion in assets and over 70 invetment managers.
Stewart had marketing and sales roles at Nicholas-Applegate Capital Management (acquired by Allianz) and Guggenheim Investments. He has spoken at investment conferences on asset allocation, opportunistic strategies, alternative investments, creating an emerging manager program, best in class client service, marketing to institutional investors, and mastering the RFP process.
He graduated with a B.A. from Colorado State University. He holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
